Rationel Windows
Rationel is a Danish company that is a market leading manufacturer of windows and doors. Their high quality, premium products have set them apart from the competition, and their products boast excellent thermal efficiency, design quality and innovation.
We offer two of the Rationel window collections, Aura and Forma. While both collections provide improved thermal efficiency, modern functionality, and weatherproofing, the Aura collection is perfect for modern, contemporary, or newly built homes looking to keep their modern flair. In contrast, the Forma collection is ideally suited to heritage or period/traditional homes, as they offer a more traditional elegance and detailed framework.
Aura and AuraPlus
The Aura and AuraPlus collection from Rationel is the perfect contemporary addition to your property. They are designed with menial, sleek frames so you can enjoy uninterrupted views and an abundance of natural light. These Rationel Windows also boast excellent thermal efficiency, with low u-values, making them perfect for Passivhaus properties. The timber used within the Aura range is carefully selected from FSC-certified forests, so you can be sure that the timber we use for your property’s new windows is sustainably sourced and in an environmentally friendly way.
The Aura and AuraPlus ranges are also both weatherproof to even the harshest of conditions, so you do not need to worry that your windows will be affected by adverse weather conditions or perform poorly when exposed to harsh conditions. They are fitted with security systems that are Secured By Design approved, so your new windows will keep your house secure from forced entry and intruders.
The difference between the Aura and AuraPlus collections is due to the design and build. The Aura collection includes timber-framed windows for a traditional look with modern functionality and performance. These windows also feature a natural wood finish, which is highly desirable for homeowners in the Worcestershire area. They also have a 40-year minimum life expectancy, so you can be sure that you are investing in the long term of your property. The AuraPlus collection also has timber-framed windows. However, they come with additional aluminium external cladding, adding a further 20-year lifespan to your windows. Forma and FormaPlus
Forma and FormaPlus offer a traditional window style compared to the Aura collection. These windows are designed to perfectly complement British architecture, with traditional stylisation on both the inside and outside of the windows, including classic glazing bars and angled glazing beads.
The Forma and FormaPlus windows we offer at Glassier, much like the Aura and AuraPlus, also provide excellent thermal and energy efficiency, strong and durable weatherproofing against adverse conditions and customisable options, including hardware and colour. They are also fitted with secure locking systems for added security for your property. These windows have a minimum lifespan of 40 years, so you can invest in your home with the knowledge that your windows will last for decades to come.
The difference between the Forma window collection and the FormaPlus collection is that the Forma collection is a traditional wooden window style with a natural woodgrain finish. The FormaPlus collection, however, is fitted with aluminium cladding on the outside of the window frame, adding additional insulation and weatherproofing. The Forma collection is the perfect option for homeowners who are looking to keep their home traditional with wooden frames, whereas the FormaPlus collection is ideal for homeowners of traditional and heritage properties who are looking to upgrade to windows with more modern functionality but with the classic charm that timber frames offer.
