Technical Aftercare Support

At Glassier, we foster long term relationships with our clients, caring about what happens to your new build / product beyond its completion. We are proud of our craftsmanship and strive to ensure your investment gives you years of pleasure, looking as beautiful as the day it was built or installed. We offer a comprehensive 10-year warranty.

If you have chosen an installation made from solid hardwood, as with all natural materials the hardwood will need to be re-stained in future years and requires periodic care and attention to maintain it in top condition.

All PVCu products should be cleaned periodically without the use of harsh abrasives. Glassier's service department are on hand to attend any aftercare requirement.  Download the maintenance guide now and make sure you protect your investment.

Service Department

Glassier's Service Department provides a wide range of services tailored to suit your individual needs. Our services regularly include:
  • Replacement of failed or 'blown' sealed units
  • Replacement of faulty window and door components.
  • Adjustment of dropped or draughty windows and doors.
This is by no means an exhaustive list of the services offered by this department. If you require a service not listed above please give us a call and we will do what we can to accommodate your request.

Planning Applications

Glassier have experience working with Planning Departments and will happily handle this process on your behalf. There are local variations on planning guidelines, so it's important to be au fait with the subtle nuances. We can take care of Planning Approvals, liaise with Listed Building and Conservation Officers to ensure compliance, apply for Building Control and obtain final Local Authority Certification.

Planning consent is often not required for conservatory extensions, subject to satisfying the conditions and limits of Permitted Development Rights. Additionally, until 30th May 2019, the rules on the size of extensions requiring full planning approval have been relaxed, subject to the Neighbour Consultation Scheme which might mean you would only require an application for a ‘Larger Home Extension’, which is far less onerous and more straightforward than a full planning application.
